An oasis in the middle of Cairo

Located in the wealthy and residential Garden City, district on the east side of the Nile south Downtown, Kempinski Nile Hotel is the boutique hotel par excellence in the Egyptian capital city. Luxurious yet intimate, with European style in the middle of the Nile, it is the perfect oasis to escape from the city’s hustle and enjoy one of the best view you’ll ever see in your life. On top of the hotel, in fact, you can find a rooftop pool that looks onto Gezira, the little island right in the middle of the river. From up there, the city’s horns frame the picturesque Cairo’s skyline and you, in a sort of a bubble hanging from the sky, can only admire the view before your eyes and admire this enchanting city.

Right below the rooftop, a maze-like spa and a small yet efficient fitness center are at guests’ disposal. I personally didn’t try the spa, despite the fact that it’s awesome, but did some exercises in the fitness center. I’ve never been so motivated to work out, to be honest, as the view you have from the gym is as fantastic as it is on the rooftop, so you can run like a free horse, listening to Nicki Minaj and observing Cairo from above (okay maybe you can pick another singer..).

Rooms are decorated and furnished following the western style. Almost every room has its own balcony facing the Nile, which is a good thing. Marble furnishings, attention to detail, high quality amenities are included in every category of room. We had a Nile Junior Suite, and we can only advise you to do the same. The upgrade is totally worth it – big lounge room to enjoy a cup of Egyptian tea (or a glass of wine) with the skyline on the background, huge bathroom with huge shower and huge bathtub, full mini fridge and Nespresso machine for a break, working desk and 24h butler. Doesn’t sound that bad does it?

But the cherry on top is probably the breakfast. The variety and the quality of food is insane: an in-house bakery takes out of the oven fresh bread, cakes, pastries and biscuits, several pots are arranged on the central table with meat, fish, vegetables, cheese, eggs, pâtés and much more, on the right side fruits, nuts, muesli and yogurt complete the food-tour in the breakfast lounge.

We had a fantastic stay at Kempinki Nile Hotel, an oasis in the middle of Cairo that lets you admire the city from above, but still located in a very dynamic and bustling district.
