Ghasr Monshi Hotel

According to the legend, the city of Isfahan has been nicknamed Half of the World. Logically speaking, if you haven’t seen Isfahan, you haven’t seen the world. And I cannot agree more with that. This is why it is important to find a cozy place once there, which also represents the cultural richness of this beautiful city.

Welcome to Ghasr Monshi – hotel located in the center of this pearl where perfect location meets hospitality.

Starting from the interiors, it is very traditional and the rooms are well furnished. The beds are comfortable, the windows colorful and you have more than enough space for your stuff.

The common area has a very original Iranian look and you definitely feel the Persian spirit there. Besides the well working AC, the facility is built into the ground. The result is a natural cooling due to the lower temperature of the ground, which is not only an ideal way to use space but also a sustainable approach. moreover, you can have a cup of tea (give the saffron tea a go) in the shadow provided by the walls, where blue sky accompanies this charming scenery.

In the main lobby there always were tour guides present who are open for a chat, good advice about Isfahan or other cities, offering you adventurous trips in and outside the city. They are not only fluent in English, but also Italian and German are common languages spoken by them. As usual, the entire staff was very kind and helpful, always looking for your well-being while being all smiles.

Let´s talk about food. Unfortunately we just tasted their breakfast, which however is richly set with a wide range of delicacies: from traditional Iranian omelets to more western dishes, and from a vast variation of seasonal and organic fruit juices to home-made Iranian jams, like fig and carrot.

As mentioned, the hotel is located less than 5 minutes walking from Nasque Square (Main Square) and the Grand Bazaar. On the square you can find the main sights, surrounded by the beautiful bazaar. Especially in the evening, it is a unique possibility to witness the night life of Isfahan and get to know some locals having dinner and enjoying their shisha with friends and family. And by the way, be prepared to be invited multiple times (and eat mutilple times) – but the good thing is that your room is only 500 meters away.

Before passing out, enjoy a last saffron chai of the day admiring the night sky, looking at the scenery around you, before finally recharging your batteries in your comfy bed. The next morning you will feel energized and ready to explore the other half of the world again.

Ho Da Fez (goodbye in Farsi), and enjoy your stay at Ghasr Monshi!
